Mission

Our mission is to reveal the living God to our communities by way of preaching of the Scriptures, the Administration of the Sacraments, and the instruction in Holiness of the Church.

Vision

We envision a vibrant, faithful Reformed church in Houghton County, steadfastly committed to the three marks of the true Christian church: the pure preaching of the Gospel, the proper administration of the sacraments, and the exercise of church discipline. Our mission is to restore biblical faithfulness to the Keweenaw Peninsula, proclaiming the transformative truth that all must be born again through faith in Jesus Christ.

Core Commitments

Proclaiming the Pure Gospel – We boldly preach the transformative truth of the Gospel, calling all to be born again through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, rejecting moralism and proclaiming the full counsel of God’s Word to the Keweenaw Peninsula.

Upholding Reformed Theology – We are committed to the divine authority of Scripture, the centrality of the Gospel, and the pursuit of holiness, as faithfully summarized in the Reformed confessions, teaching sound doctrine to equip believers for faithful living in Houghton County.

Exercising Faithful Church Discipline – We uphold the biblical practice of church discipline, fostering holiness and accountability within our congregation, lovingly correcting and guiding believers to maintain the integrity of the Gospel witness.

Shepherding with Pastoral Care – We prioritize true pastoring through house visits, prayer with families, catechizing, and personal guidance, shepherding souls with biblical truth and care to build a strong, faithful community in Christ.

Engaging in Evangelism and Mercy – We seek to establish a vibrant presence in Houghton County through active evangelism, outreach, and mercy ministries, meeting both spiritual and physical needs to reflect Christ’s love to a population of 40,000.

Complementing Campus Ministry – We build a church that supports and enhances campus ministry, serving as a foundation for pastoral care and Gospel proclamation, equipping students and families alike to live out their faith boldly.

Advancing Christ’s Kingdom – We are dedicated to planting a biblically faithful church in the Keweenaw, proclaiming the Gospel, fostering holiness, and extending Christ’s love through a vibrant, engaged community that honors Him in all of life.
